Renato D'Agostin
“Etna“
Photography Exhibition / 4th – 28th March 2014
The Exhibition
“Etna” is a visual poem that goes beyond the limits of photography, opening our perception towards a rhythmic counterpoint in which music demands to be seen.
MONDO GALERIA presents “Etna,” the homonymous exhibition to celebrate the fifth book of the author of the ‘Venetian Photographer,’ Renato D’Agostin. It is an honor to present this book, exquisitely designed by Tankboys (Venezia) and co-produced by MONDO GALERIA Madrid along with MC2 Gallery of Milano and Nomadic Editions. This third publication of Renato D’Agostin proves his quality as an author of projects focused on the poetry of movement, light, dreams and the majesty of photography.

The Author's Workshop
We are hosting a workshop designed for photographers who want to know what is necessary to maintain a serious international career. Renato will hold 4 sessions that will use his exhibition as a background and analysis to study how to edit work, how to present in galleries, and how to relate to these galleries in a professional manner. He will share the personal experience of an artist who has worked with the Leica galleries of Tokyo and New York, with Photo4 of Paris or MC2 of Milan. He has works in prestigious international collections, The Library of Congress in Washington, the Maison Europpene of the Photographie and many more.
If you are not a photographer but would still be interested in approaching the world of photography and collecting, Renato D’Agostin is also a regular collector of photography publications and works by authors whom he admires and respects, which will be discussed as part of his workshop ‘How to Collect Photos.’
The last day is reserved for the viewing of portfolios, and D’Agostin will be able to comment and discuss them with attendees.

Photography + Design
For this exhibition we have invited MARMELADA STUDIO of Barcelona to create a syncretic dialogue to the work of Renato D’Agostin.
So on March 6th, 2014, we will open the “Landscapes” installation of MERMELADA ESTUDIO.
Knives like birds, suitcases like barbecues, wells containing everything but water… Loaded with symbolism and poetry, the installation introduces the viewer to the immensity, beauty, energy and disturbing calm of these new landscapes that hold a dialogue with the archaic Etna.
